The TA in North Bend, WA is 1/2 Paid Parking also. This is becoming the norm near any large city with a lack of truck parking in the area.

And no, you can't just plan ahead every trip, especially if you don't go to an area regularly.

 

And guess what that's exactly what they want you to do which means its much easy for those that are willing to pay the fee to at least get a decent park for the night, I've lost count how many times I've pulled up at a truck stop only to find it full up and having to park out in the mulga up the road and walk back. it unfortunately is a no win for all of us to many trucks and to few truck stops to hold us all in.

 

Was in Grand Bay, Alabama this afternoon and noticed the same thing at the T/A. Not sure what %, but there’s a lot of pay spots there....

 

Don't worry about the t/a and petro.
At the pace loves is expanding there gonna
Destroy all of them. And there parking is free.

 

A lot will disagree with me, but I’m a fan of Loves and Pilots. Never have cared for Petro or T/A....

 

You think loves isn't going to jump on the paid parking ban wagon? I like TA-Petro the angle parking seems to deter lots of the steering wheel holding megas

 

The same with t/a in London OH have of lot is a paid lot along with Wheeling Wv t/a you got to get there early to get non paid parking spot
