I was all ready to read about another Walmart
Crash and burn story from another one of thier drivers.
I'm really disappointed.
If it you makes you guys feel any better,it's not just
The drivers. Walmart is cleaning house all the way
Down the line.
My next door neighbor is a manager at a Walmart
Supercenter. Been there 17 years.
They had 6 of them, now it's three.
He's been telling me about the cuts coming for
The past year.
There cleaning out all the long tenured employees.
Managers,drivers,cashiers,doesn't matter who.
Thier whacking off the top of the pay scale.
Everyone's on pins and needles at work.
There just looking for a reason to get rid of them.
He's sweating bullets about his job.
We talked last night. He said that all managers at
Walmart now have to be promoted within in 2 years.
If your not promoted in 2 years, you drop back
Down a level.
Doesn't matter if they have a opening for you to
Be promoted to or not.
You either go up or down. No more sitting as store
Manager for 6/8/12 years whatever.
If they have a opening a thousand miles away from
Where you live and you decline it,
Then kiss that easy salary position goodbye.
It's back to unloading trucks for you. Lol.
No more overtime,
Vacation pay cut back,
I've forgotten all the other things he's told me about.
Seems like every time I come home He's got more
Bad news to report.
It’s time to take the masks off

He knows something, took the time to list it.
You think you know better? List it yourself. ANY one can toss tomatoes. But if you really know your stuff, start making a list.
Then people will decide whats what eh?345_Magnum Thanks this. -

That's not hating.
That's a warning so you can be prepared.
If can find another good paying job take it.
It's not gonna go back to the way it was.
It's only going to get worse.
This is just the beginning.
There's more cuts to come to pay and benefits.
They roll them out a little at a time. So you can
Get used to them.
If they done it all at once there would be a uproar
Thru out the whole company.
If your on the old pay scale there gonna grind
You out. You don't fit into the new budget. -
Here is my wally world story. This was back in the late 90's - Used to work with a guy at a parts house. Real nice guy. Ex military. By the book. He was buying a house and took a part time job at wally. Worked there several months and got treated so badly that he said neither he nor his family will ever darken the doorway of a wally world store till the end of time.
The End -bottomdumpin and 345_Magnum Thank this. -
Last I checked I wouldn't be able to be home 2 full days a week, 30 paid days off a year, and make $91k year.
You did say swift pays more right......... -
Times are changing at Walmart.
A year from now you won't have that gig.
You heard it here first.
They can get the same work done for 30,000 a year less.
That's per driver. Add that up. -
So no on swift paying more?
I'll be ok either way, but feel better hearing from you bro -
I’m on the old pay scale at top pay last time I checked Swift drivers don’t work 6 months out of the year and make 80k and get 30 days vacation
