So I spent a couple of months researching companies, applying and interviewing and receiving feedback from various sources. Melton was that first "ah-ha" carrier for me and in the end I kept coming back to them. I could mark off most of the bullet points I needed fundamentally to make the decision.
Thus far my interactions with Melton have been thorough and precise. The on-boarding process fairly seamless and communications plentiful. Usually, after starting with a company there's a shift in these communications and is indicative of some flaws so I will be doing my best to communicate and keep front of mind, I am the rookie and I need to remain steadfast to the fact I have the learning curve to work out here, not the carrier.
I start orientation tomorrow and I am very excited to be starting my trucking career with Melton Truck Lines.
See you on the road soon!
