If your % your average deadhead is 100+ Miles and If your milage paid deadhead is hardly any. Backwards! They got it down to a science I tell you. 29% of nothing is nothing

Now I’m making more at 27%, with a lot of the same customers. But the loads happen to pay better here....Someone needs to send them the memo that rates are rising not falling.....

When i was there in 2015 the general concensous was mileage drivers got higher paying runs that went shorter distances and percentage drivers got lower paying runs going longer distances. Their trucks were fairly decent, no apu at all, but my 2016 mack would idle without issue. Trailers were usually beat to hell many of them being older than 2008s.

They have all the trucks set on temperature control idle and the trailers are a moving violation

There's also a way around the idle shutdown. You just didn't bother finding it or asking other drivers. And yes SOME of their older trailers are garbage, but they were trading them out with brand new utilitie trailers when I was there. I know for a fact they were because I hauled 3 loads of them in and even helped Walter down stack them to get them set up for plates.

Yeah you can get around it but you’ll be shut down on the regen. And they will reprimand you to the 3rd

They should have traded more because I saw 4 trailers over 13’ model and I kept my fingers crossed nothing would happen. It’s hard to make money in the shop and wasting your clock on 3 hour plus deadheads On percentage pay.
