I totally understand where you're coming from. Cheema freightlines in lathrop ca are very similar. They dispatch you and expect you to drive in any condition. They think we truck drivers don't need sleep.

As has been said, a good carrier may not be a good fit for every driver.

For example: I joined Anderson Trucking Service back in August. By all accounts, a good OTR carrier, plenty of miles and well maintained equipment. Even had decent treatment of drivers considering the size of the company.

Well, me and Anderson didn't necessarily see eye to eye on some things. Too much "hand holding", too much corporate nonsense, too much unnecessary communication. Plus, they are a well advertised OTR outfit, and it turns out I'm strictly a regional cat. So that didn't work out well.

So after a mere 90 days I decided to move on. I'm now with Mawson and Mawson, and just as happy as a pig in clean wallow! No dedicated dispatcher to annoy me, paper logs, regional runs, and I'm sitting at home on weekends once again.

The point is, ya gotta find the carrier that works for YOU. Just because a carrier has a good reputation doesn't mean it's a good fit. Everyone has different needs and expectations, and you have to find the carrier that fits yours.

Lucky to 800-900 per week. Running my tailfeathers off to do it, stretching that paper logbook well past credibility.

And that's 8-900 GROSS. Generally hit about 600 net. Benefits suck, and are expensive.

Where do you live, and how much flatbed experience do you have?

    DSK333 Thanks this.
