Because they probably aren’t their trucks. Kinda like when a shady car dealership is trying to sell an old beat up car, they will post a picture of a nicer one of the same model, then in the fine print they say, “actual car may not match photo.”

 

I get that all the time on the bay. It's a automatic deal breaker. I once hovered over two items that were relatively high dollar for being out of production. And because they were actual photos revealed a actual failure of a gearing set via a misalignment of rail wheels and it was such a small clue saying don't spend that kind of money on me. The replacement towers would exceed the value that seller was asking.

It's a shame that one has to be very very very careful these days.

Привет, я Влад, я из Москвы, Россия. Я водитель грузовика и хотел бы водить белый Volvo для компании в Чикаго. Можете ли вы мне помочь?

English translation is:

I am Vlad I am from Moscow, Russia. I am truck driver and would like to drive white Volvo for Chicago company. Can you help me out?

Of course with my luck I would get hired on there and have to change my name to Vladimir.

 

They might even get you one of those banners that hang halfway down the top of the windshield that say MOSCOW with the flag and dingleballs

 

Dah. Vlad would like that. It would have to match track suit, flip flops and gold chain though. Otherwise there is no reason for Vlad to drive Volvo in America.

I used to drive Volvos, owned a few, and I do not own a track suit or wear sandals or bedroom slippers. Now, I am happy I bought my POS International. I see that "Why does everyone hate European trucks" thread... Every time I see it, I want to reply, "Because I hate Europeans". I'm not PC, and am third generation European. Hungarian. But these guys, they are not here to assimilate, many do not even speak English, and the outfits employing many of these guys are in Europe doing the dispatching. They are here for one reason, to make money, and they do it any way they can which entails driving wages into the dirt. Screw them, and let's revoke those Visas.

 

Their might be some decent ones that still respect the industry but most are uneducated and just do it because it’s one of the few jobs you can get just for walking in the door. Companies look the other way when they drive with their feet on the dash, punch a hole through the floor and put 3 to a truck. Long as they get their settlement checks , don’t bother calling in a bad driver either most of them are Russian / eastern euro themselves
