I'm not at all surprised that you found that path exhausting. It sucks, there's no other way to put it. My trainer made me run it twice while I was in his truck. While I was halfway through it the second time, he told me there was another way. He thought it was hilarious. No surprise there, because he's a miserable a-hole. He said he was trying to build my character. Apparently taking a brand new driver on those roads was a good idea in his mind. I call it a recipe for an early funeral, but what do I know.

 

@Goobr54 It looks as though my work-around has restrictions on it now that it didn't back then. I'm looking for another, I'll post one if I find one.

 

Nevermind the previous post @Goobr54 I found my original route. Using your scenario this will add 21 miles but it's an easier ride. From Eden, take 220w whch will take you to 158w to Winston-Salem. Catch 52W to 74w to 77N. According to my GPS and my atlas that is all legal. On paper it looks convoluted but it is a much easier route and doesn't add much time overall.

 

And here comes another edit on that route. I just found my old notebook. Take 311 out of town going west. That will take you to 770. Catch 220 from there and then follow the rest of the instructions from the previous post. That changes it to a total of 14 extra miles overall (not 21) and an overall time change of 20 minutes. Sorry @Goobr54 for the ridiculous amount of posts.

 

Yeah, the regional guys are probably so used to the 460 route that they know every curve and they're used to it. I'll take the easy route LOL.

 

Wow. This is the roughest delivery I've ever had, bar none. I just earned every single inch of my home time on this delivery. This place is nuts.
