Could someone please explain to me the feasibility of the average owner op income reported in the following link, and what kind of net income it might break down to? Some of the O/O incomes on Indeed are pretty wild, but this is the most wild I’ve seen.

Lepton1 Thanks this.

Makes me wonder if they just reported the revenue generated by their tractor.

5 k a week right about average unless you’re hauling cheap or low miles
trucker91, Lepton1 and DieselDrivinDaddy Thank this. -
I’m assuming it’s total revenue by the tractor before all taxes or expenses.
I’m still researching the general costs of an owner op, so haven’t much to go on. Looks like great money even if the truck ate half of it... And some salty vets say there’s no money in driving anymore. -
My friend Meagan is a dispatcher for forward air down in Chillicothe ohio, I asked her about this add a few months back, she says that is on the higher end of the gross revenue for owner ops at faf.
Here's my question for the rest of you, why in the world would you ever think any ad would ever tell you anything other than gross revenue? Especially when every driver is going to be different in what it will take to operate their truck. -
Doesn't FAF run team for the most part? Had it in my head they did a lot of expedited stuff.
whoopNride, zenaddler and Mooseontheloose Thank this. -

FAF’s own website promotes the following...
Top performing team contractors averaging $8,040/wk or $418,080 in revenue.
$371,900 minimum based on average miles (5,000/wk).
Top performing solo operators averaging $2,900 or $214,000 in revenue.
$198,000/yr. minimum based on average miles (2,800/wk).

A long way off of $255k, but seems decent if the miles are there, and consistent. 95% drop & hook - and mostly night driving would be a plus for some. Their jobs page is exclusively teams, but apparently they run solo too.
As long as the non-English speakers aren’t in dispatch or payroll, I don’t suppose that would pose a challenge.double yellow, Bean Jr. and Gunner75 Thank this. -
