Wonder what they say now, with women aboard; "sweepers, sweepers, person your brooms, clean all decks and passageways; the fantail is open."

Yes I have heard the U.S. Navy ships when they cook fried chicken, they dump the thousands of gallons of vegetable oil overboard right into the ocean.

Yep, that's right. Change oil in a diesel engine or whatever, plus the dirty filters, right into the ocean.
Even in remote parts of the ocean you can see stuff floating or just below the surface. One time we saw a huge something on the horizon. The CO took the ship over to investigate and it was a huge steel storage tank about half as big as the frigate we were on. Left it alone and went on our way because didn't know what might be inside if we fired at it.

Millions of wooden pallets. Once they get their supplies at sea; the supplies are taken off the pallets and the pallets thrown overboard.

It's fun to paint a mop handle black, then throw the mop overboard when there's other ships behind. If you're lucky, someone freaks out and reports a periscope, then all kinds of crap starts happening.

Greek liner I was on 30 years ago would push all the garbage over the stern at night. It was the ATLAS,,sank few years later. Cruiseships claim they no longer discard of waste at sea.
Funny my fishing pole never floats when it goes overboard...right to the friggin bottom!

After video surfaced of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship having it’s personal dump garbage into the ocean in broad daylight a few years back companies can get fined for it now.
