you can't stop during the day anywhere now without having to wait in the fuel line for at least 30 minutes. i'm fueling up in the morning from now on, ONCE. the truck stops all look like there's a festival going on with free beer. ALL DAY LONG.

My truck holds 300 usable gallons. I fuel once per week.

Pilot Sulpher Springs, TX. They offer additional fuel discounts to almost every PFJ dominant carrier so they're always busy regardless. Also, their pumps are slow.

Noon on a Monday. Needed fuel and a 30. Got them both when I sat through the cluster f#k lines and after pumping 150 gallons. Thank goodness for 25 mph Drive time trip threshold.

Does that limit the weight of freight you can take onboard (legally)?

The trick is to roll over to the fuel pumps 35 minutes before you 10 hour break ends and ease up to the pumps and clean your windshields and check your oil/tires/belts/hoses while you're waiting for a pump to open up.

Only if I show up for a 47.5K load with full tanks, until I burn off enough fuel to offset the difference. I try to avoid 47.5K loads though.

You always fuel at the end a 10 hour break, because if you do it before, somebody else is getting the parking spots before you.
