^ You "pinch a loaf" in the cab of your truck where a drive cam can see you?
The cab of your truck is not a place I would do something that I expect privacy. Cam installed or not.

Yet no answer on how a driver cam “protects me”?!! Ok

Honestly, i agree! There is no instance where it protects the driver. Forward camera? Heck yeah!!!! All for it!!! Driver facing cam? Heck no!!!!! No situation where it is in the drivers best interest.

    driverdriver and LoneCowboy Thank this.

I have over 1,400 posts with over 2,000 thanks. My post was not a troll, it is a discussion that goes against traditional thinking. I have driven trucks auto and manual. Cams installed and not so. With this company right now, I have a choice. I posted to discuss.

My company only has forward facing cams. Others on this thread started freaking out about a driver cam. I just went with the discussion.

Driving primarily on interstates, no one has mentioned how having a manual shift is of benefit to them. What "greater control" do you really need? Drivers only make slights on how someone who drivers an auto is somehow a lesser trucker. Childish insecurity.

I learned to drive a 4-wheeler manual, learned to drive a big rig on a manual, drove most trucking miles in a manual. I can drive a manual and not think twice. Why? What makes you a super trucker because you prefer to drive a manual transmission truck?

^ If you're taking a dump in your cab and keep 5 gals of Jergans around in a cams view. I can understand your sincere opposition to drive cams. For all concerned, I definitely recommend you avoid companies that have them. Not really an issue for me, for you, make cams a no-go.
