I was wondering, too. What would the difference be? I know Canadian laws are different, somewhat, with licensure. Interesting. Endorsements would be the same, I'd think.

I would think nothing. A CMV that carries passengers doesn't vary much.

I think it would come down to the experience those outfits want, and hopefully what they pay is commensurate with it.

Not sure yet, I'm still looking into that, I'm thinking because I'm now a CDL, maybe I can make my way up faster, as far as I know at this point, I think coach bussing only has to be a class 2 (school bus) and airbrakes, but the class 1 just sweetens the deal !!

I know in the US, you guys have letters for licenses, and we have numbers. If we are a class 2 (school bus) then we get a Q endorsement if we have passed the airbrakes program. We can add a Q to any license, such as people who drive RV's with airbrakes, they have to have that Q endorsement. If we drive our own tractor, no trailer, we can be a class 5 as long as we aren't being paid for hire. NUTS !! Like these RV's for instance, I've seen the full size motorhome, plus a trailer or car behind, and only a class 5/D.

Up here in Canada, we have Class 1: tractor trailer, anything with 3 or more axles. Class 2: bus with more than 25 passengers, up to tri-axle. Class 3: Tri-axle without passenger, Q endorsement added to drive an airbrakes vehicle. Class 4: any vehicle that's less than 3 axles and carries passengers, a bus between 11-25 passenger, commercial for hire. Class 5: just standard passenger private vehicle, can also drive certain "for hire" vehicles without passengers. Class 6: motorcycle. Class 7: learners, sorry, I corrected some things on this post.

Another correction, class 2 is not just school bus, sorry, it's a vehicle with 3 axles or less and carries passengers of 25 and over. So school bus, coach, greyhound, class 1,2, and 4 are passenger carrying vehicles and we have to pass a medical for those.

The mountain sheep do that in British Columbia around Golden, just block the road, no fear, just stand there and look at you.

Wait until you've seen an RV towing a car and a trailer at the same time.

Yup, seen that too, just think more training should be involved. We're all vulnerable if a person really doesn't know how to drive an LCV type length. I would hope that some are CDL drivers :)

“Hey I have a couple pallets to deliver for you guys. Do you have a forklift?”

“No, we do have a loader, though” F669749B-DD2D-4158-8B47-6320596518B9.jpeg 7831D372-C5A4-49BB-AB62-6276B33F8B8D.jpeg
