A fleabag motel in Charlotte. Not that I'm complaining. I'm enjoying the rest and the tv time. Plus the milkshakes at cook out are yum. I'm going to weigh 400 pounds if they don't get me on the road soon.

I went Excel in Roanoke last week to get side of sleeper painted where prime knocked on the side of my sleeper with his trailer and I decided to get a recall taken care of and my stereo replaced since it was under warranty. Boy you would have thought I asked for a new truck replacement.

They think they are the best thing out here. Boy are they mistaken.

    Their shop just plain sucks.

But anywho enjoy the milk shake and get an orange sherbet one for me

Don't bet on it. Bcl takes 24hrs minimum to approve each tiny repair. After they pulled the wheels to change rear brakes they discovered leaking wheel seals. So all progress stops until that is approved. So sick of this routine.
The reason the leak wasn't caught before was because the wheels have a solid cover. You can't see inside except through a slot in the cover. Excel told me they couldn't leave those covers off. Something about them being integral to these particular wheels.
You know what my daddy would have suggested? Jack up the radiator cap and drive a new truck under it.

I have always had really good luck with Charlotte Truck Center. That Cookout, not so much. Get what you need before the sun goes down and lock your doors tight. Rough part of town for sure when you have to foot it. My condolences:(

Yes. I the folks at this excel shop are nice and seem to know what they're doing. I stay in after dark but during day I walked to family dollar heading south on sugar creek on one occasion and it was pretty rough..but I found a bo jangles. Opted for that over the soul food joint next to cook out but may check that out before this is over. Hiked to food lion heading north yesterday and it was a lot nicer neighborhood.

Wheels? Covers? Are you talking about rims. The things the tires are mounted on? And those goofy covers that supposedly save fuel mileage by blocking air flow into the dish of the rim?

If this is what you are talking about and a mechanic said the covers keep you from seething a wheel seal leak then you need to find a new mechanic asap. I wouldn't let that idiot change a lightbulb. Wheel seal leaks are seen by getting under the truck and looking for oil at the back side of the drum.
