Bottom line is at the end of the day and at the end of the week and at the end of the month will you be making money? If its all good and you've got money coming into your bank account then your really doing well. No one wants to work just for charity?

Read the rest of the thread and judge for yourself on the money aspect.

The covers are on the inside of the rear wheels. I haven't seen anything like them before. They blocked me from seeing anything except the width of the shoe by peering through a small slit with a flashlight. Somebody said those are good for protecting the mechanism. I thought "that's stupid" but figured I would get rid of them later. On the phone they tell me they're part of the wheel or something and can't just be left off. When I go physically back to the shop I will get them to explain what they are and how to get rid of them maybe have to buy new wheels later. I dunno.

If the dadburn truck would stop breaking down and if bcl would stop messing around with each little widget repair then I could drive the thing and be making good money.

Since I'm going to still be in this truck for awhile I'm praying we caught and fixed enough stuff it will stay afloat for awhile. I plan to rebuild my savings and a good repair fund in my own banks and leave bcl out of it. If I want a repair I will pay for it myself and I will go after the escrow fund when its over. But you know the opposite could happen. Some other pea pickin' thing could blow up in a week. That's when I will tell bcl where to find its dead truck and move on.

Ok. Now i know what you are talking about. On small trucks with mechanical drum brakes we would call those backing plates. They are common on vocational trucks that do a lot of off road, they keep the mud out, or at least most of it. Now I've nevet owned an off-road big truck so i can't say this for sure, but id bet you could remove those from the axle.

While everyone probably figures i personally think it is unlikely that you complete his lease and get a title to this truck, if you do i will get those out of the way for you of you want. Consider it a token of good will.

I think the rates you are getting is just as much a detriment as the truck. I haven't seen you post your average rate so basing that just on what you have posted about lack of reserves built up. When you get a good rate uit does not take long at all to be at the point you can write a check for pretty much anything that can go wrong.

As i said before, anyone not doing a minimum of 20k a month in this market is getting screwed, and not in an enjoyable way.

20k a month gross is not unreasonable with the rates in getting....when the wheels are turning. However you are probably talking gross net. I know I'm paying a premium for my comfort zone. I'm still working for a mega and I get that.

When a seal goes, it usually covers your shoes in oil. That's another reason to pay extra attention during a pre trip. You can catch it before it ruins your brakes and becomes an OOS violation.

I've been saying all along bad vibration especially when braking. So they finally test drive it and the mechanic tells me Breathlessly..there's a bad vibration especially when braking! I just looked at him..blink blink blink.
