Use "Yard Moves." This will "pause your 11." It will NOT however, help with the 14.

The 11 hours is the only part that matters. They need to simplify the logs to just 14 hours of driving a day, when you stop your logs stop, I don't want to work any cheaper than the next guy just drive longer and earn more.

Yea I'm not saying I wouldn't like it, hell if like to get paid to wait in line and still get those hours to drive too.

Then Yard Moves is the solution to your problem. Every ELD has that function. But, some fleet mgrs have disabled the feature.

That's still on duty, still wasting your 14 isn't it? What I'm doing right now there's usually not much waiting in lines but it'll be one extreme to the other. I've actually sat in lines long enough to do a 8 hour break and that works, it's those 4 hour lines that hurt.

Correct. There isn't a pause for the 14...yet. Texas is fighting for that though.
A little wrinkle to the current situation though... Your available drive time (11) CANNOT exceed your available shift time (14). So, when the two meet up... They begin to "tick-down" together.

I'm in the ELD Industry and I would love to see a "pause button" for the 14 for you guys. I think it would help out tremendously. It would certainly help with driver fatigue. You could eat, power-nap, take a dump... whatever.

Well if your in the ELD industry you got to have a few friends in it you could get together and throw a little weight around can't you, or is that like trying to get truck drivers to agree on the price of free coffee.

You already know I don’t like to work, so I’m happy getting paid and not having to drive as much.

    Bank_Lbr Thanks this.
