Werner hit with $90 million dollar verdict

My attitude is indeed "#### werner" most of the time, but this is a clear miscarriage of justice that will affect all of us, drastically, if it's allowed to stand, so I'll stick up for the weiner wagon company this time.

 

Yeah yeah yeah. We get all that. But that all became secondary probably about day 2 of the trial.

The days of justice being blind are well behind us for many decades now. Who recently said life is fair?

 

But why? It sounds like STexan is trying to say it was Werner's fault that it happened. I was just trying to understand that method of thinking.

 

Well, only something like this is going to cause them and those like them, to ever change, if they are capable of change. They sure were not going to change as long as the status quo worked.

 

This case sets a dangerous precedent. Whose to say we don’t have to worry about getting sued for somebody else’s screwup even though the incident/accident isn’t our fault,not just in Texas,but any other jurisdictions in the U.S. where you’ll have lawyers having wet dreams just to get a case like this one-even with all the safety devices in the world installed on the trucks?

 

No, it isn't fair. Horrific for the whole family.

But it wasn't Werner's fault it happened.

 

And I'm all for them being nailed to the cross if indeed they are at fault for something. Run them out of business.

But this case sets far too dangerous a precedent for all of us if the ruling is allowed to stand.

SMH. I don't know how I can say it any clearer. But I'm not the one who sided against Werner. I'm just offering my opinion how the jury was made to feel. Facts are irrelevant and common sense is not required or desired in a case such as this.

 

And Alexander Shunnarah isn’t that far behind him as far as billboard ads go! And almost all the time on their ads usually include a semi!!
