Jimmy Dean in Newbern? I was in there delivering this week. First time I been there, they got me unloaded pretty quick.

Tyson Foods, formerly Hillshire Farms. Right there off Hwy 77 exit and Hwy 51. We also deliver to Williams Sausage in Union City. Mine’s drop and hook, it’s just a pain going back down 51 through all those towns and red light cameras.

That's what I'm working with. The CB shop cleaned the mike 6 months ago when they did new coax

It crackles when you key up, and apparently whatever I say is breaking up. Buddy yesterday said I had lots of juice but no clarity

Probably a broke wire in the cord. You can have it replaced for $25 or so, or just get a generic 4 wire microphone cord for around $10 and solder the connections or have it done. That 29 you have is a good radio.

99 percent chance it’s either the cord or the button. A jewelers screwdriver will take the cover off the mic and you can spray some electronics cleaner if it’s just dirty (we have a lot of those problems in my line of work). If it’s the cord it’s usually just as cheap to buy a mic unless you’ve got an old cord laying around.

And don’t overpay at the truck stop. That mic can be had new on eBay for around $25. Same with the Ranger, which has become my favorite the past few years.

I run a Cobra 29 in the truck, with a small box behind it. Good little radios, and simple to work on. Looks like you’ve already got the echo board in your Dale Earnhardt edition. That’s a nice little rig.

Single final, same as the one I had back then. Shoot I don’t even really care if it works, I’ll probably not even put it in the truck. Just be cool to have on the bench.

    I’ll PM ya soon.
