I had a little piece break in my Astatic 636, and the spring got loose. Pulled it apart, cut off a pencil eraser and wedged it and it’s worked fine since. I bought it in 2005.

I’ve had so many of them have cord problems. I got sick of constantly tryin to solder the tiny wires back to the plug. Lease roads are not kind to stuff like that. The Ranger cord has held up for over two years now. The Astatic sounded fine, just too problematic for off road, IMHO.SAR, Crusader66, stwik and 9 others Thank this. -
