There's a bit of a capacity crunch right now, most companies are bending over backwards to keep drivers.

 

Nice score on a new volvo man! Wr have like 20 trucks on the ready line, dont think getting in one any time soon will be hard lol.

Made it down here to Orlando. Got 86 hours of down time until I unload. Hope everyone has a good and safe holiday! If youre home with friends and family, enjoy. Those on the road, be safe and make the most of it!

 

No way would I sit around for that long. I’d be up someone’s rear end until they let me drop that trailer and move on to another load.

 

Yeah, I dont think I mind. Been out for 12 weeks now I think, miles are maxed out, probably wouldnt hurt to have some time off to rest up and get bored before starting June. They gave 5 days, technically 5.5 days, to run 1900 miles. I may ask for layover or something. We'll see how I feel after cleaning the truck, getting a hair cut, and some reading.

 

That’s why I started going home for all the holidays. They stopped paying layover for the holidays....but you had to sit cause receiving was at the beach or a cook out.

 

Anyone here participating in the truck Driving championships?

I got invited last year. At least I got a non personalized message I thought everyone got. But I had something else going on at the time. I didn't get invited this year.

 

My apt is for Thursday so cant imagine the holiday playing into that. Never ran this load so I dont know if its normally slow or not but I got layover so I definitely cant complain. Really happy with my DM.

 

Hopefully at least 3 days?
