I had timmys coffee for the first time in n.dakota the other day, being from the south I heard it was all the rage, we dont have them. Not sure if that was the way they make their coffee but it was the most putrid I have had in a long time. I think it had some kind of cleaner in it..is that just the way it tastes? I threw it out and got some regular petro coffee.

yup, that's Canada, they love Tim Hortons gawd awful coffee and the tragically hip, how embarrassing. The funny thing about it is everyone goes on about how "Canadian" tim hortons is, but it's owned by a Brazilian!

Likely a pot that had soap residue in coffee pot was what made the coffee disgusting. Timmys coffee is OK at best. Like any franchise the employees make it or break it.
Shell and 7 11 dispense pretty good coffee. 7 11's Mountain roast is excellent but only available in certain regions and NW Ontario is not one of them.
Fort Mac Timmys are crazy busy as are a few here. Folks just get into the habit. I know a fellow who did a budget to see where all his money was going....$1100 per month for him and his wife on Timmys coffee and smokeso_O

Well, yes it is now owned by Brazilian, whom also owns Burger King.
Originally it was family owned, but you now how things go when business gets big and real money gets involved.
Back then it was a quality product. Each store had an actual real baker that hand made the products. Now it’s all factory made, frozen, and shipped. The store just heats them up.
And yes the coffee is nothing special. I’ve had horrible cups right after someone cleaned out the pots or machine and seems like nobody bothered to rinse it out.

I think its kinda sad that my first thought as to the cause of a burning gravel truck in Wabamun the other day was "guess his TP got caught on the DPF"

Sunday at 5:50am the Timmy's downtown has like 2 cars in the line. Only time I ever stop in there. Honestly I go to actual coffee shops now. Quicker, better coffee AND cute baristas ;).

Edit: Conklin Corner in Conklin, AB (down highway 881) has some pretty decent coffee. Not cheap though. I think a large cup was just over $3.

Sometimes the server can make the coffee taste better?

I love my French press from wallys. Fresh fine ground Cameron's breakfast coffee. And hot water it's my new addiction. My only issue is I need hot water from truck stops. But if I have time I can micro my distilled water. That is pure water and coffee. Delicious.

    Good way to get burnt.
I thought modern girls didn't want to be treated like meat. Yet here they are promoting it.
