I can definitely see this being challenged because of the Interstate Commerce Clause.

That could be too, which doesn't hurt my feelings one bit, cause all our agents in Pennsylvania are mutts.

Pennsylvania is being overrun by Socialists with gov Wolf(D) .

This is a new one to be but I'm not surprised.

The lawsuit against the turnpike for it's rate scandal and the desire for the schmuck governor to continue raising diesel tax beyond 74¢/gal ... And everything else is pure anti business insanity in pa right now.

Corruption has taken over in PA!

What I'm wondering as an owner operator, is how they can deduct 3.07% tax on a load when I have expenses and deductions that are necessary for me to perform the service I'm providing? This makes zero sense. I'm a business and should be taxed on my net profit and not my gross revenue. This can't be legal.

I agree. They're going to turn into MD if they aren't stopped. I don't see this holding water legally though. We're talk a 1099, not w2. They are not entitled to any tax from the payer. It's up to the receiver to pay taxes. I seriously doubt this is something even the Feds would allow. Time will tell though.

All Pennsylvania means to me is bad roads, expensive fuel, and ridiculous tolls. I haven't been out there in a long time and have absolutely no plans of ever going there again. This just makes one more good reason to avoid the place.
