Got screwed on my hours because of that accident on the 80 turnpike last night , so had to spend last night off the turnpike and had to stack up at the mm 100 mark rest stop.

Kudos for everyone cooperating and making due. Holy Crap we were piled in there.

No spaces left but a little hotshot car carrier let me pull my western star and my 45 foot tank up on top of him. It was empty so only 29500 Lol

But to get back to the subject , beautiful night last night .But Every truck ideling when I walked upto take a shower at midnight .

I slept like a baby with the motor off and my wax earplugs in.

Just wondering as I sit at the dairy tonight listening to the Idelers.

Are you paying their fuel bill?

Because there's a certain percentage of drivers who will pee their pants if the temp in their truck is not exactly 76.035 degrees. Just ask @TripleSix. ;)

    Because:

    1. What is comfortable for you is too hot for others.

    2. Some of us just came off of throwing freight and are overheated.

Or 3. We have coolers and the like and no APU to keep the circuits live.

MACK E-6, austinmike and driverdriver Thank this.

For me, it's a matter of being well rested when I wake in the morning. 67 degrees and dry? I will shut off the truck and enjoy it. 67 and muggy? >MY< truck is idling with the AC on. I don't care if it drops to 40 inside. Me and muggy don't mix though.

homeskillet, bzinger, MACK E-6 and 4 others Thank this.

I agree on the muggy. I'm very sensitive to humidity and heat and cold and snow and democrats.

There is also "that guy" whose air dryer blows off every 3minutes that parks right beside you when you're the only truck in the lot and there are 50 other empty spots, and empties his piss jug out the window and splashes all over your truck and steps.

The above is what really torques my lugnuts. Idling trucks, meh par for the course

So the old Volvo or Pete parks next to you a lot also? Thought I was the only one.
I'd pay money for 3 minutes, more like 30 seconds.

Tb0n3, bzinger, wore out and 1 other person Thank this.
