CR England: Told I can't upgrade

Your trainer allowed you to hit some things? Obviously you need to goal, but he needs to watch you. Absolutely no excuse

 

Fun fact... almost 2 years in I GOAL for every single backing maneuver, even if I have a spotter. Enough ways to hit something out here to give Safety an easy one.

 

This is the biggest question, why was he not doing his job, whenever I was training, before the truck was in reverse, I got out, stood in front of truck, where visible,let them back in, watching they were backing into, if they got out and looked 10 times, I’d not say anything, but I made sure he wasn’t going to hit somebody vehicle, I’d be watching, walking forward some while he was backing, keeping watch from one side to the other, if they were having a ton of trouble, I’d motion with my hands which way to steer to get backed in.
When we were at a truckstop and had time and there was plenty of parking, I’d let him practice into backing into a spot, nothing around but tell him to imagine at the lines there was something and if he got out of them he’d have just totaled a Lexus.
I would not in the dead of night after driving all night, let a trainee squeezing into one of the last spots available,
though I didn’t run as a team, we’re not a team, you’re a student in training, and no way would I lie down and trust my life to someone who wouldn’t know what to do if a situation would arise.

Now before we go bad mouthing CRE as a whole in backing, I think many of you have seen my threads on backing ( ongoing no less ), cause I was trained at CRE. I had an excellent trainer that knew his business, and thus I was taught the correct way. That's not to say that hard work and practice isn't a requirement.

Now if anyone wants to have a backing / parking contest, we can certainly make it more interesting.

Now, it is all on the OP, no vindication from me. Get off your ### and look at what your doing 50 times if you need to.

OP wants to know what should I do. You didn't qualify to upgrade, get another trainer, put your F phone away, and get your mind on what your doing.

 

From what I've seen from CRE your trainer could bail out on you, abandon the truck, and they would have you run the truck solo to finish out your "training".
