The Pilot that I fuel at has a new Coffee Machine. It is called Beans to Brew. This new machine grinds coffee beans and brews a Philmore Cup just one cup at a time. The six containers at the top of the machine are 6 flavors of coffee beans, including House Brew. The rectangle in the middle that looks like a smartphone is an easy to use touch screen.

There will be no more 3 or 4 hour old rotten coffee. There will be no more being forced to drink a flavored coffee because that's all they have. You just set your cup in there, and press the screen twice and whala, a fresh cup of coffee in less than 60 seconds. I would say the coffee is comparable to Starbucks quality. The price is still $1.19 with rewards card and still free with rewards points. If your Pilot doesn't have this new machine, be sure and tell management.

    That's a copy of Speedway.

It won't matter, cause now instead of being out of coffee, they will just run out of beans.

Props to Speedway then. These other T/S's need to jump on this bandwagon. Do you know what happens when I buy some old, rotten coffee at 03:00 am? I drink it.:)

I suppose if you are comparing it with the big 5 truck stop coffee...

Just because other places suck more dosn't mean it's good coffe, not in the real world.

And I would add that there is an efficiency factor in play here. I would guess that T/S's have to throw away 10 to 20% of their coffee because it gets old and rotten. Not so with this new machine. No waste at all. And I will go out on a limb and say the the T/S employees won't have to constantly be jacking with the new new machine and perhaps eliminate "Cleaning in Progress'.

Lets test the truck stop coffee for fecal contamination and see where the cars fall.

I like stopping at Independents and spending money there. But I have had just as much rotten coffee at those places if that's what you mean.

Same. For me to toss a cup of coffee means it's basically unfit for human or animal consumption.

And nothing better than a really good cup.

    homeskillet and Getsinyourblood Thank this.

I do believe Pilot owns Speedway (or maybe some Speedways).
