Yeah that’s cool and all but everyone unwinds with a drink at the end of a days hard work. Unless you think you have had a drinking problem that interferes with your daily routine. At that point people seek help and stop all together. Did you have a drinking problem where you were having a drink with your wheaties in the morning?

Everyone unwinds with an adult beverage after worik? I say...NAY!

I know plenty of folks who drink rarely. An no they don't have addiction problems.

Hell there's a bunch on here who I'm sure will chime in. An if they don't...just find a drug test thread. ha.

I know what you meant, doesn't mean I find it any less humorous.

    ;)

Sirscrapntruckalot - Who let the cough out...hack..hack...- No I;m not a song writer, an don't plan to give up my day job.

The honest answer, is that it doesnt matter where you start, doesnt matter where you get your cdl.

Start applying at every company that has their own CDL school or will send you to cdl school via the sponsored path.

Prime, Roehl, Stevens, SRT, CRST, Swift, US Xpress , KLLM, CR England, Schneider, FFE........seriously it doesnt matter, even though people will tell you it does.

You wont be rich and wont buy a harley your first year on the road.
Your first year is all about, learning, being safe, and gaining experience.

After your first year, with whoever, the doors will open up for better paying jobs, better sign on bonuses, and more diverse range of driving options.

Seriously, find someone who will put you through school, and grind it out the first year, and stay at it no matter how hard it gets ........that first solid year will pay off, trust me. Ive recently moved into an office role at my company , and we wont even look at someone with excess comapny switches during the first year of having their cdl.

Wow spoken like a real bonafide soupa twucka, talking smack and making statements that you know nothing about. You're well on your way to be the typical unprofessional modern steering wheel holder that gives real professional drivers a bad image.

By the way KLLM and CRST are the same crap company. If you want to be successful to some extent, you need an attitude adjustment .

Anyways good luck to you .

There’s nothing wrong with swift. They’re the same as all the other starter companies. The name on the door has very little to do with the drivers chances of success when starting out.

Work hard, take every load they assign you without complaining, and do your best to make your DM’s (or TM or FM or whatever the heck these companies call a dispatcher these days lol) life easier and you’ll do fine. It’ll take a few weeks or even a month to prove yourself- but once you do there will be plenty of miles for you.
