That's a fun trip. Playing "How much over can I go on fuel so that I'll burn it off and be legal by the next weigh station". Did that all the way from Portland to San Antonio once.

After sending in a QC message and calling my DM and then talking to someone else at HQ besides my DM (dunno who it was, west coast load planner maybe?), they finally, at 3:15pm Richmond time, sent me a load assignment with an actual pick-up number.

When I arrived on site at the shipper, they didn't have the number on their Big Planning Board. I was expecting another round of "Nope, we dunno what that is," but then he looked in his pile of stuff that shoulda been shipped a few days ago but wasn't, and found it. My load was supposed to have been shipped on the 9th.

So now I'm sitting here waiting for them to work me in while they load up all the dudes who are on-time for their shipments that are scheduled for today.

Haven't had a shower since Monday. Me and the Boy both have The Stank. Will be stopping at the first decent truck stop as soon as we get out of here. Already been here over an hour, though, and they haven't even put us in a door yet. So it might be a while.

 

Dang @ExtremeUnction! And I thought I had some screwed up luck like that! Hopefully you get loaded soon and The Stank won't kill y'all before you can get to a truck stop.

 

Finally got a door! Only took 'em three hours. We'll see how fast they can get me loaded.

 

I have not needed to, but I would take a shower at the colton yard if I did. Back when there were security people on site, they told me I could use the facilities there. We use the bathrooms there, and have played air hockey. We park in the bobtail area and don't wear Abilene gear while there.

 

I was told by one of my trainers that we were not allowed to use any of their facilities. I do try to follow the rules when I can, so I always went up to the 7/11 for the bathroom. However, my rule of not going 2 days without a shower trumps any of CRE rules.

 

Starting day 2 in Richmond. Still haven't made it into the shop for repairs yet.

 

Am I reading this correctly?. Trainee used what now?.
