Sounds like a great idea. I want a job paying taxes, making no money, and being controlled. This job I have making money enjoying freedom and idling the truck is a disappointment.

 

You forgot “and paying the note (rent) for somebody else’s principal benefit”. Seriously, if you’re going to assume that much financial risk and liability, you may as well go full owner op and get into a real and full owner op program.

 

After they told me that I'm paying the bill, paying for fuel but I'm forced dispatch, forced routing, governed slow because the owner says you get better mpg pedaling it's all day. Then he tells me you can't idle because you have a apu. I asked what happens if the APu breaks and they said, guess you'll have to stay in a motel or sleep in the truck until WE approve it to get fixed with YOUR maintenance money. I laughed until they hung up on me.

 

A word of advise...in your title you can change the name of the company to 99.9% of all L/P companies out there, and the SCAM part still applies. That's because 99.9% of Lease Purchase programs are a SCAM. Buy a truck with outside financing so you can do as you please and go where you want without the company having their sayso on what you do. OR find a decent paying company that treats you right and pays good as a company driver...right now it's a drivers market, many companies are raising pay and throwing in a lot of perks to attract good drivers.

 

The op avatar shows his old sfi truck...why he didnt keep that truck and move to a better carrier is beyond comprehension...
