Hi!
A friend of mine, newbie, wants to create an app that optimizes load capacity similar to Behance
I told him that before he does, he should reach out to professionals of the business to validate...talk and learn. I offered my help for this part The question we have is:
Does an mobile app that automatically measures the available capacity (palettes) adds value to you? If yes...why and if not what really does!
Any really any opinion helps!!
Thanks
Daniel

Really, how do you weigh the products?
-
We need to know a lot more on how this works before anybody can comment on how they would like it. Most drivers know how to optimize a load in their head. So what's an app going to do for them that they can't do already?
-
No need for anything like that. The shippers already know how to load their stuff in trailer. Most things are so heavy you can't fill the trailer up anyway.
The driver's don't load the trailer. So it not like we need fill every inch of the trailer. Some stuff is heavy to fill trailer up with. The light stuff you can double stack pallets if needed and they actually want that much stuff. -

Edit - just to add that a lot of docks lock trailers into the dock and the trailer does not have a lot of movement with some dock locks, this would mean any use of air ride to determine weights will be drastically off.
