Teammate tells everyone he has autism...

When I was in training everyone was informed no blind side backing. My second load I had to blind side. Easy enough. Asked one of the other drivers later on. He said it is only for termination purposes. If you attempt it and you are successful, kudos. If you are not successful start looking for a different job.

We had a load of soda pop, cases of the stuff. Front to back. Heavy stuff.

Roll up the sleeves and start lumping them cans.

Following day trainer told me they deliberately designed that type of load for new hires to see for firing if they refuse or cannot do the work physically. And congrats by the way for getting it done.

No body tells trainees or new hires anything usually but everything has a purpose. Usually to eliminate the bad apples before they fall to the ground and make a whole forest drunken and ruined.

It was really hard to test the Spouse a little bit for specific tasks she needs to master. I would take her far from the rig and say to her to remember her Marine Sgt days, get some moxie and get this done just like you are taught. It's one of the things meant to get you fired should you fail.

Obviously when the day came for me to hand her over to the road tester she made it. But the tester told me that I need to really watch her careful like a while. She still had some rough edges that needs some work.

Come to find out from time to time the things she did with that semi while I slept in that stupid sleeper is outrageous. I would bawl her out then praise her and reward her for showing initiative with it. Then explain to her why it's so stupid to do what she did for future reference.

In some ways it was the best of times, in others it's not quite so.

 

I try keeping up with everything you write Heavy. Most of the time it requires a 34hr reset. This one has to be a classic. Thank you for sharing.

 

i usually have to take a power nap, to continue. and at my age, power naps last a LOOOONG time.

 

Autism is the new in thing in America. Everybody has it, or has a kid with it, or at least knows someone with it. Most of hollywood has it. Hell the president and 2 of his kids have it. Im not sure I think I have it. Back in my day it was called "class clown" "stupid" "Not paying attention" "wise ###" " or the dumbest smart kid I ever met"

Nobody wants to tell teammates if they farted though!

 

like the other driver will not know where the smell comes from..??
