Welcome to my Nightmare.

Rudy (the movie), why do men cry when they see that movie? It's because life is about heart. Rudy is that guy that reminds us of what we are truly capable of. Even when Rudy quit, a quitter (grounds keeper) that learned from his experience reminded Rudy that some things you can't walk back to after you run away. The fact that team captain did the right thing as did Rudy's teammates. Men all of them.

The old saying about the true nature of a man is how he handles things when it all goes wrong, because anyone can look like a man when everything goes right.

Just a side note, my son is 9. I believe that his generation may be the next great generation. I mean he is 9 and already has a certain disdain for millennials, want everything done for them, or whiny people. I've taught him that in 10 or 15 years he will be competing with those people for jobs. I think he and his friends are going to decimate the PP people in the job market.

Good on you guys for reminding me of all of the above. Life gets in the way sometimes, but you can't beat a man who won't quit.

What strikes me as absolutely crazy in regards to those dump truck videos are the idiots filming it...gotta get right up there to get the close up shot knowing full well what's about to happen.

 

I just don't know how one could travel more than a mile or two without ever looking their mirrors at least ONCE. Every one of those dump buckets could have saved themselves a lot of grief.

 

I would also expect that the guy who had 15 years with my company would have noticed he dropped his trailer before he got 40 yards away, but then again I'm told I have high expectations.

 

That's ok. Our company (specializing in over length freight) has signs by the fuel island reminding drivers to put their fuel caps back on after fueling and just sent out a training video demonstrating how to couple and uncouple trailers, on account of a rash of dropped trailers and damaged hoses/electrical lines.

 

That video is why we can’t have nice things.

 

Wow I missed that, that’s bad.

 

The amount of ignorance in that video leaves me speechless.
