I looked at my ratchets this week and there isn’t much clearance between the bar and grease plug. Most of my ratchets will be accessible with the straight needle grease tip if the fitting is short enough to leave permanently mounted. All 4 on the back bottom deck won’t be and will require an angled grease fitting to service them and put the plug back in. Some 60-70 degree sunny day in the near future I will test a couple of low profile grease fittings.

I finally got the time to try my idea. On the surface they seem like they should work. I put 5 in to see how they do for a while before I do all my ratchets. My local Fastenall shop said they can order however many more I may need.BigBob410, Tropsnart, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I only did 5 fittings to see how they do with the tie town bar in close proximity. I just greased them the normal way. If the fittings don’t get banged up I will do the rest and order a new grease hose that has the needle tip attached. I will let you know how it works.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
Sorry I read your question wrong. No I didn’t notice any difference, but I had spray lubed them several times so I didn’t have any that were in bad shape.

I have a couple that are in bad shape... and they move very slow. And sometimes they dont click. But they never stopped working
