Out of the three which one is better? The Fontaine has grease hubs. All are combo spread axle.

If you are talking 2012 or newer the fountaine routed side rail is about enough for me to choose that one.
I have been hooked to a 53' infinity for about 6 months No complaints on the trailer. It does have a sliding rear axle . Just heavy I am shopping for a revolution 53' rear slide. I think I will save about a ton with the revolution.

    Dadetrucking305 Thanks this.

They are all new 2018-2019.Whats the advantages between the sliding tandem and the spread? Also the Fontaine looks to be grease hubs.

For the work we do we are light therefore we run close tandem most of the time. That makes it easier to get around especially with a 53'. When we do get a heavy load we can open up the axles to give us 40k on the trailer . Makes scaling easier. When I purchase a trailer if it doesn't have a lift on the front I will have one installed. Most of our out bound freight is under 14k. I could possibly run loaded on one trailer axle.

I've been running a 2013 Infinity Step since 2014. Its been a good trailer. Not perfect,.. but I am comfortable enough to recommend it as a purchase. The side rail as stated,.. is probably the best in the industry in my personal opinion.

I've never pulled a Dorsey,.. and the only 2 Transcraft I pulled were old and beat to hell and back. So my opinion on them is not good,.. but only because thats my experience. Had I gotten a newer one,.. or one that was taken care of I might have a different opinion.

Its a 53' with 10' upper deck, 43' lower deck. 18" King pin setback and 10'2 spread. Rear axle slides to close or open the tandems.

Has Hendrickson axles. They were originally sealed, maintenance free hubs. After an issue where the lugs broke off and 2 wheels came off, I now have open sight hub covers so I can see the hub oil levels. Not 100% sure if low oil level was the cause. I had an inner steel wheel and aluminum outer at the time it happened. Multiple theories as to what the cause was. It happened while my driver was pulling it,.. could have been from excessive speed,.. truck is not governed,.. so the world my never know. I took the steps necessary to prevent it from happening again.

    Negative.

2005 Columbia with a pre emissions 04 CAT C15 BXS ACERT currently @ 1.6 million mi and a company driver beating on it every day.

My personal truck is a 98 KW W900 with CAT 3406 and a 2 yr old over haul 2.1 million on my KW.

Cascadia,.. far as I know only come with Detroit.

Personally,. I will never own a truck with 'functional' emissions. I prefer the simplicity and reliability that comes with well maintained older engines. I also will avoid truck dealer shops at all costs if I can avoid them. Warranty is a useless time consuming over priced novelty IMO.

Do as you feel comfortable and what you have experience with. Falling out of your comfort zone can often end up costly for the unprepared.
