Do you live near a major city? Team running isn’t what most people think of as good, but if you get the right partner it isn’t a bad gig. I have slept better when I ran team than I normally do at home? Most of the UPS Hub’s you could get a few years in and then bid in to a single job.![]()
Anyone make 2k a week here regularly

$2092.00 weekly gross. I'm linehaul for ODFL and have a bid run. I don't have the top-paying run out of our barn, but it's near the top 5.
Oldironfan, BigBob410, Bob Dobalina and 1 other person Thank this. -
You can make near $2k a week running the system/extraboard for one of the bigger LTL carriers like OD, Saia, Estes, but you have to be willing to run 6 days a week. Get friendly with Central Dispatch so they'll get you farther away from home.Closer you are to home during the week the more likely it is you'll be sent there during the week, especially when it's slow. That usually means a 2-300 mile night.
You'll be waiting a long, long time to get a scheduled run that pays over $2k a week. The senior guys grab them and hold on to them either until they are canceled or the driver retires. I got one nearly right off the bat but it was "luck", and because no sane person wants to live where I'm at. -

Few more weeks in and ill have 2 years in the industry. Been lurking through ltl / tank threads to see if its worth the switch out of skateboards.
