No doubt about that, The shop foreman at Overhead Door where we have a dumpster was a installer many moons ago. Yeah that Overhead Door company that bought genie ( big in the mid and north east ). He's seen some crap in the day. ( for the record it's a trash only open top dumpster ) Not Overhead Door mess ups.

New home builds ( people farms ) amazing the amount garage doors in the dumpsters because of various cheap non skilled 3rd party installers. You get what you pay for.

I saw a fistfight on the interstate yesterday, right in front of my truck. Stop and go traffic, mostly stopped. The dummy in front of me decided to sneak down the shoulder, and cut off another dummy already doing so.

Neither one would yield, so they end up jammed with nowhere to go. Heated words were exchanged. One driver gets out and starts whaling on the other through the open window. They both end up in the right lane pummeling each other until one of them looks up and sees me fumbling with my phone trying to work the stupid camera. They retreat back to their cars and continue shouting at each other. I really need to get a dashcam, because I'd have put that on YouTube in a heartbeat.

My wife asked why I didn't do something, which is a silly question. No matter which one got his ### beat, he had it coming. I'm not getting involved.

This bid I’m on is seriously fest or famine. Monday night got into the yard with 20 mins left on the clock. Tuesday night I’m done in 7 hours. Home at 4:30 trying not to wake everyone up. Too early to go to bed. Ahh I’ll see what happens tonight. If only I could get home this early on Saturday mornings...

The problem is that some of those dock workers only care about how many bills they scan per hour. Sometimes they don't even strap hazmat to the wall. Supervisors only take pictures, but other than that nothing really gets done about it.

Hopefully on the next bidding in January I'll be able to bid for 8:30 am start.

Sounds to me like road. He's talking about nighttime hours. I recognize it because I've been there on a short night where you have to sneak into your own house at 4:30 am and tiptoe around to avoid waking up the bosslady. And that it will never happen that way on a Saturday morning. Friday nights are usually "feast" but nobody wants that at the end of the week. We just want it to be over.

That's what I thought too, but my hub has few "city drivers" working night shift. They mostly work on the dock however sometimes they get to go to the railyard with container or do a road run.
