I talked to a Sheldon driver at prefferrd freezers in Philly a couple weeks ago that said he's doing ok with the uptick in rates .

Hey guys, one last question. How is the road test out of Va? I just got my CDL and took the road test on a 10 Spd, so no auto only restriction. Is Van Wyk still running the 13 speeds for the road tests or are they all auto by now?

I’ve been with them for a year now. Good solid company. Road test is just a drive around the block with the trainer. Test will be in an automatic trans. All trucks are now Auto.

Any Van Wyk drivers around here anymore? I’ve been off the road about 16 months now, just wondering what’s up with VW’s. Freight been good? How’s the $.30 Dead head pay working out? Any changes with Darla running the show?

Starting with Van Wyk next week. Did all my paperwork on Tuesday. I live a half an hour from the Sheldon yard. Used to work at another company close by that did cpm and had no cameras so this will be an interesting change. Enjoyed the other company (left two years ago to go back to a previous employer. BIG mistake), so had a hard time deciding between the two but giving VW a shot

Living that close to Sheldon you should do very well with money and hometime. Lots of options for short and long hauls, repower, etc.

Anybody know what the deal is with running for VTS Brokerage, power only? I have my own authority now (with a van) and am researching all options to get through this corona BS. I'm guessing VW has slowed down too like everything else, so probably no extra scraps for VTS?

I saw that guy with the stretch frame T680 on I-84 the other day. Looks like he got his own numbers and a spread axle reefer. He was in convoy with a VW truck. I'm guessing he may have been running a VTS/possibly Sysco load?
