I'm not sure how long it is if your coming in with experience. Best to ask a recruiter.

No, almost. But the are split governed. Company drivers have the trucks set at 58 on the throttle and 62 on the cruise. Lease ops are set higher.

But, I have known some people that have had problems getting reasonable fuel mileage have thier trucks governed down to 55.

Someone would need to fall below 6.5 mpg average for a few months for that to happen. I don't think you could do that if you tried in the newer trucks, _when you are governed at 62_.

Looks like CDL training is only on automatics, huh ? So there is a manual restriction then on your license ?

No unless you can't learn to shift. You come back to your terminal after you time out. The pad training trucks are standard and you use those for learning to shift and backing. There also used for cdl test.

    A few questions:
Do company drivers out of cdl school get stuck with lightweight ? Or are they able to choose a regular sized cab ?
Are new students fresh out of their CDL training able to go right into tanker ?
And, do they pay actual driving miles or zipcode to zipcode ?

You can get a full size truck solo by default, I think the LW truck is opt-in now.

Yes, you can go tanker from the start.

It is zip to zip practical routing. Sometimes you get shorted, sometimes you get more. I think it averages out ok. Not the best, not the worst.
