You don't want to issue a challenge to a bull, that air horn sounds too close to a bull's challenge. There are stories of truckers doing just that and ended up getting their truck thrashed. Just sit and wait it out.

Sounds like truck-stop counter talk to me. I had a train whistle on my Western Star. It worked well to get them out of the road. 9 out of 10 took of running. All you could see is gangly legs going everywhere. Obviously, there is always one that just stands there and looks around. The pea brain is telling it there are no train tracks why do I hear a train.

I like the idea of a train horn. I have used Jakes to get deer away from the road, probably sounds like the snarl of a predator. Those deer whistles only seem to attract them.

Well, the Pascal law is taking effect, if something can go wrong....... I am not having a commercial invoice to show on customs, just a bol, that means stuck here on Shelby, MT until they provide me one, is been taking care of at his very moment so I expect to be on my way later on. It's in part my fault, I knew I was having to cross borders and didn't requested it at the time of loading the truck.
Is that a problem?, depend how you look at it, it can be devastating for some, I do have a nice cab (Volvo 780) with a working apu, plenty of food for 3 weeks, a beatiful wife who love me and who cook like heavens, and my little dog who love me a lot too. I am worried?, yes, a little bit, lot of things can go wrong, but what is life w/o having problems to be taking care of? Problems keep you sharp and resolving them, makes you feel happy and stronger, so, not bad at all, just expecting the broker to send the papers and I will be on my way.
BTW, when crossing to Alaska, you dont need to have a Pars number, just a "in transit bond" will do, and you can get it at the border if you and you company are clean, that's what I heard from US and Canadian customs and a broker on the Canadian side of the border, in Coutts, who I spoke with early on.
Transit bond can cost anything between $250 to $400, it's what they say. If you plannnig to cross the border frequently, you better request a normal bond for a year, cost $395 and it let you cross as many times as you want, takes two to three days to get it.
    Will keep you posted.

I once saw a moose destroy a car full of orientals that honked at the moose... Those poor folks don't know if they should abandon ship and run or ride out the storm... I don't think anyone was hurt, but they definetally had a story to tell their grandkids

Had you forwarded the paperwork to them prior to arriving at the border?

My practice was to forward (by email) all border paperwork at time of loading or no later than my first fuel/rest stop. Even if it was several days in advance. Then I would follow-up anywhere from eight-ish hours to days before I was going to hit the border to ensure I was cleared.

    CellNet and Lepton1 Thank this.

Sounds like a whole lotta BS for a road trip.
Here's an idea for the next guy.......
Book a load to Washington or Montana or wherever, and rent a car.
    Same experience, less BS.

Is there a penalty if you don’t deliver on Monday?
