Been happening a lot lately with the market so slow. loads have been hard to get in my usual lanes. So bad in fact I have had took my loads days in advance just to keep moving during the week. My issue is this I show up to pickup a load I had booked a week ago. broker even called to verify I was still good for pickup. I get there the accepted my pu number and sent me through said they will come get me when a dock is available. I wait 2 hours then someone comes to truck and said load had cancelled days ago and there was no load. I called the broker and they acted surprised and said to hold tight and they will find out whats going on. They call back and said yeah very strange the load was cancelled and no one notified us. But we will give you TONU of $150. Ok so its 15:00 and too late to get another load and all i get is 150 doctors get to charge patients if they don't give appropriate notice when cancelling there appointments and they are obligated to pay for visit weather there there or not. Yet we are expected to eat our losses and not to mention I had to lose the next 3 loads due to the fact I wasn't going to be there to pick them up threw my whole week off and wtf is $150 going to do for me. My truck is worth more then 150 per day to stay down. anyone else having these issues.
Having a lot of cancelled loads lately.

At 2hr Mark, I called in to inform of no activity. They tried to tell me they start detention at 3hr mark. I said NOPE. I CHARGE AT 2HR MARK, and my rate is $100/HR.
Broker threw a hissy fit, saying I can leave. My response was ok, but you owe me full agreed rate. OR.... You can be reasonable, and still have my truck.
End result: got 4hrs @ $50/HR. For a first time light Werner load at $3/mile in a slow week.DSK333 and DriveStyer Thank this. -
I tried that they laughed at me I invoiced them they never paid. Seriously if it isn't on the rate con they dont have to pay it.

Ain't leaving the dock without it,DSK333 Thanks this. -
Well not sure if this is relevant. But I have been driving many loads that are a 3 day or almost 4 day trip. But I don't deliver for 5 days. Or a 2 day trip needs to deliver on the 3rd day.
