Dispatch is to Draper, Utah for Monday. A local driver will pick it up as I am at the shop waiting on magnets for the DEF door.

I am impressed with their shop. They know their stuff and get on it when you walk through the door. So far, I have seen if you have an equipment problem, it's because you haven't said anything. There is nothing to small or too bothersome to fix.

    DRIVER CODE REMOVED

I really like it. No micro managing, here is your load info, go take care of business. I text my dispatcher arrival and depart times and if I don't have an issue he doesn't panic if he doesn't hear from me daily.

First week vacation at 6 months. Either take the time and a grand or work and get your vacation time on top of wages.

Drivers are respected and first in line at the shop. Things that would take days elsewhere are got on and will roll out that day.

Okay, one down side. The flipping mattress is as hard as a rock. I am getting a memory foam to go on top of the rock so all good.

I keep waiting for the gotcha, but there hasn't been one. Really.

First trip, Darien, IL to SLC, UT
2nd trip, SLC, UT to Texarkana, TX
3rd trip, unknown. I do have to get back to the yard to move my POV, so maybe back there.
They mostly use Pilots. Pilots has good coffee, but they don't know how to clean. Yuck. So they are not my first choice.

All good so far. Questions? Ask away.
Oh, save your receipts for your travel. No receipts, no money back, not even mileage.

My 3rd trip for the week was Texarkana, TX to Joliet, IL making a total of 3476 paid miles for the week.

We had a slight problem with the hours yesterday, but it was quickly taken care of and apologized for by safety and dispatch. How many companies have you worked for that even knew the words "sorry, we messed up"? Still impressed with them.

Monday, after I get my memory foam mattress, I will be staying out for 3 to 4 weeks. Depending on where you live you can get home every weekend to three weeks out. The closer to Darien, IL, the more home time. We do/did have local positions open that are home every night.

I will keep you posted as it goes on. Questions? Just ask.

One comment that I feel I have to mention. You will -not- find southern style warm fuzzie folks here. They are friendly, but very professional and just on the edge of being abrupt. I can deal with that since I have had people tell me all my life how abrupt almost rude I am. (I don't see it of course.) I use it as a challenge to see if I can get my safety person and/or my dispatcher to laugh once a week or once a day. Just keep in mind it is not personal.

Do you go back to the yard regularly? I'm curious if they are a W2 company and if they are American?

They are a W2 company. As for getting back to the yard, only when my truck needs serviced or when I have a Amazon shipment coming to the yard.

They are Americans now. No they are not Russians and if you make the mistake of calling them Russian they will quickly correct your error. The CEO is Lithuanian, the COO is Lithuanian as well. The Safety Director is from Turkey, but has lived here most of her life. The night time dispatch and road service are covered by folks in Lithuania. A lot of the guys in the shop are Polish, but came to the US very young. Still heavy Pole accents, but American through and through.

I will say that this is the best company I have worked for since 1981. The company I drove for from 78 to 81 was another excellent company.

If your hunting for the respect you truly deserve, give John a call. Tell him Bee sent ya.

One thing that I have found is that you have to watch your recap. It is always a surprise for my dispatcher to hear that I don't have the hours to run the load. I have dusted off my recap app and all us good, but I have to keep him informed of my hours. Even when I run out, he fixes it, but I would rather do a restart at home and not at a truck stop. So I am not loosing loads, but still...

That is the only gripe I have had so far. So there you go.
