Crete dedicated Walmart, would this pay good?

    I’m looking at Crete’s Cheyenne based Walmart dedicated route that covers Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico. They offer a good CPM, but I’m worried there are so many stops and so much on-duty time at Walmart stores that the miles aren’t possible. They claim 2300-2400 miles/wk with a reset at home every week. I can tell they’re a decent company and I’m not worried about problems with corporate or with trucking in general. I’m wondering what day to day life is like on this route and if the pay is close to what they claim. Thanks.

    Probably also have accessorial pays such as stop pay, detention pay, and a few others. Ask about that; ask which accessorial pays they have.

    The key to this is that when you get to a store, you are a priority for them. You bypass all other vendors, except another Walmart truck, and they unload you quickly. When I did it, I spent less than 45 minutes at any one store (usually less than 30 minutes). I have worked out of North Platte, which is pretty much the same, just a different area covered. If I remember right they pay for the extra stops (not the last one, but any in between the DC and the last stop), and sometimes the last stop will be a drop (mainly on dry loads). It is possible to get those miles and get the reset.
