I think after 650k-700k miles pos injectors must be changed. Overfueling injector will destroy your engine. untitled.png

How did you get that shot? It was that hot just at idle?

I am not the author of this photo. The truck came shop with doc face pugged. After ATD checklist they did not find the reason why doc face was plugged. They run doc face cleaning routine and after 30 minute this view was seen. When doc face cleaning is activated engine's rpm is between 1100-1400.

After 750k-800k miles o-ring goes bad inside of oil cooling module. The oil goes into cooling system and creates big mess. So if you have an engine with that mileage range find a time to replace O-rings of oil cooler. There are two more O-rings that people usually don't know about them and they must be changed to. Because when they go bad coolant is going to oil pan. To reach these o rings the top cover of oil coolant module must be opened. There are 10 bolt to remove on top. Attached photos of O-rings. The truck has 770k miles and on picture 20180912_101814.jpg 20180912_101817.jpg 20180912_101158.jpg you can see O-rings are worn already.

It’s amazing how many o-ring issues these engines have. Must be getting them from the lowest bidder.

and every time when some o-ring goes band on this engine, it creates big mess and big repair bill. These O-rings are not American made for sure. Could be from Orient..

is that 1 million fleet abuse miles or 1 million owner operator cautiously pampered miles? have you seen that kind of longevity first hand in more than one scenario? most DD13 are in fleet trucks, since OOs prefer higher powered hoods, and most of the fleet trucks get swapped out for new ones around 500k or sooner.
