I consider both inside and outside visors useless. When the sun is in your face.

I’m always driving with the sun behind me. Dispatch hates me but at least my eyes will remain healthy, longer.

Drive a Pete or even a Volvo with out one and you will find out. Especially if you behind another truck.

    They work when designed well.

But the lowrider crap ought to be put out of service.

What difference is it supposed to make?

Best ones I've ever used were the Volvos. I'm sure they suck for passengers, since the staggered hinges on driver & passenger side are awesome for the driver. Oh, and the dedicated Volvo side sun visor sure beats the flopping Freightliner swing-around visor.
