Yes Lilbit forwarded your message to me.

You are quite welcome. I am always interested in learning as much as I can (especially about the owner op side of things). I tried a lease purchase many years ago but it did not work out. The company failed me rather than the other way around. I am sure if you search through the threads I have partcipated in you will find the whole story.

I offer my knowledge and experience to others in exchange for their stories and perspectives. Sometimes it is worthwhile for both of us. I am sure we will have many more discussions in the future about the companies we work for and trucking in general.

    Hi!

Yes so am I. I don't drive myself, but anything I can do to help my hubby and he really looks up to you guys. He drove back in the 70's and 80's and he realizes how much different it is today than it was back then. I read some of your posts back then and I saw it was a scam. That was just like us and England. A total nothing. Your story sounded like the one we had with England. Anything to benefit the owner. And the sad part about it is so many innocent people get caught at it. With JCT you don't have to worry about that. I truly enjoyed the conversation Mr. Christner, my hubby and myself had. That man is a very decent and down to earth guy and so are his sons. Mr. Christner say don't treat me like the owner, I'm nothing more than an employee like the rest of you. Had to keep from making look obvious my eyes bugged out of the socket. And Jlk you can see he misses the road. He wants to have his drivers come in and talk to him and tell him how it is out there. At one point Mr. Christner was retired and turned the business over to his sons. His sons were going to sell JCT to C.R. England. Needless to say that Mr. Christner came out of retirement real quick and had a nice little father to sons chat about that. He then changed the paperwork to this company will be sold to no one. If you want to check the background out about JCT, do a Google search and use the keywords "Three Diamond Leasing" (no quotations) and then click on the very top one it should sayThree Diamond Leasing, Llc company profile in Sapulpa, OK. I copied and pasted what it said. Right now the man's sales are estimated at $12,700,000.00 a year. That's why he says when my trucks go out I want them to look good. And they do. We get compliments on Rolling Thunder all the time, lol. So how is it going with your company and how was your day to day? I see you wrote me back so no casualties. Jlk I want you to be safe out there. I don't know if you head toward the TX, CA, OK, corridors, but if I see that Nemf truck, I know it's most likely you. I will give you a holler on the CB lol. Well don't want to burn your ear too much. You do have to drive tomorrow. You be safe out there my friend and I will talk soon. Then when I hit the mark we can pm. God bless.

It sounds as if you and your husband have found a home at JCT. I truly hope it continues to be a profitable arrangement for you both.

I have a tendency to be extremely loyal to my employers. Whether it was pushing a lawn mower, washing dishes, working at McDonalds as a young man in high school, being a radio announcer for a small town radio station, or driving a truck all over the country.

The key to success is hard work and dedication. Obviously your husband has that work ethic and has a supportive woman in his corner to boot. I too have a fine woman in my corner. She does drive but really dislikes the job and the travel away from home. She normally just keeps me company and provides a legal second logbook for when I need some rest.

Things seem to be improving for me at Eastern. My former dispatcher (Ray) offered us a new dedicated route from Camp Hill Pa to Miami Florida in place of the Montgomery Ny to Ellenwood Ga run. We have been complaining about the lack of miles and being laid over in Georgia so management has attempted to accomodate us. Of course this means we will have to step up and run a bit harder than we are accustomed to but it is better to be employed and running hard than working but not earning enough to pay ones bills (or even worse unemployed).

The other good thing is this will free up those 900 mile Ga runs for some solo's to beef up their miles each week (even if they have to relay the loads between drivers).

I doubt the wife and I will earn as much money this year as we did last year but we should still be okay provided NEMF can keep this route steady for us.

Of course I will keep monitoring the JCT posts and threads to become as informed as I can about that company. Who knows maybe they will even decide to open a yard up in the central Pa area to expand their operational area.

Safe Journey and happy trails to you both.
