Every 250k for top end is insane for any engine.
Should always be at most 100k interval. And Rawze swears by 10% gear oil in engine case. For cam protection.

I just had mine done at about 260, 265, miles. Charged me maybe 2 hours. Said he only made minor adjustments, I went out there when he had it open and my and his opinion is everything looks very good, no signs of pitting on rollers or anything else. So that puts my mind a bit more at ease. It still takes 15000 km to turn the oil dirty and is consistent in the low to mid 6 mpg range. So far, I am happy with this engine. At maybe 275000 miles though. Knock on wood.

I would put doing a top set on credit if it hasn't been done at that mileage. Expensive? Depends where you go. It's not something I would ever attempt at home. That needs someone who knows what they're doing type repair. Think what it will cost if a piston hammers a valve. Or in fuel economy. When I was a company driver the boss was on long intervals and it jumped .75 mpg immediately. 5.5 to 6.25 in that w9.

See... and by Mileage and Consumption.. I feel like i have been lucky... Maybe... maybe not.... I get good mileage and I don't pour oil into the engine... but I have driven it over 140-145k since i got it - it's probably time to consider it. Just have to put trust in someone not to rip me off. and like you - be able to see what's going on when it's being done'

Only about $600 to run overhead or less.

Here's the important question... Underload... what would you do with 425 miles to Delivery and No CEL, and Regen Required displayed.? would you chance it... or stop and wait ... on a weekend in N Carolina?
This Stop has JPRO and i dont remember if the differetial pressures show up on the screen for these guys, and the temps in and out. -
I think your fine for now. The main thing to worry about is if your cylinders are polished from carbon, and if your liners are not dropped. With that many miles on that isx you drive.
Or if you have the exploding fuel pump that has not been replaced with the old 2 piston fuel pump. -
yeah... helps to know anothers opinion.. I just don't like derating this thing... I did it once, and didn't like the situation I was in. Back when the whole wiring harness mess went on it took me almost a week and $2k to get back on the road. It hasn't yet.. but knowing what the pressures are would certainly ease my mind. Lower is good. I should know here soon... I am on the schedule for a diag hookup so he can tell me . If it looks like the other day.. I am on the way to Macon. Ga. If he cant tell me - well then... I will have to go with my gut.

2013 truck good chance it has ceramic plungers. Need changed to steel. Even steel ones are only good for 400,000-500,000miles. I would also replace those as preventative, even against my mechanics advice. You do it, I pay. New engine? $50,000? New plungers? $500? + labor. A lot less than 50,000.
