Too hard to trim that extra foot of rain curtain, for some folks anyway.

That requires getting off the forklift, and we certainly can’t have that.

155 miles on the way home of “ding ding” from the seatbelt thinking it’s not buckled. I almost pulled over and quit lol. Then I lost all my trailer lights 30 miles from my barn. It’s was about sun up so I roughed it because the flashers still worked. I hope the rest of my week gets better...

Just had the cops called on me a few stops ago. Gotta though those Ritzie old folks in there gated communities.

Dude lied and said I ran over his flowers, and that I was driving backwards(which I was dead end). I did indeed curb some plants to make a left turn, but it's literally 5-6 houses down from his property on a median. Dude called me all times of names :(

Cops came by all pissy, but didn't/couldnt do anything.

Ehh that's alright. So what that they called the cops? It doesn't matter there was nothing that was going to happen to you, let the people pick there crap up at the terminal or send it back to the shipper and make it undeliverable and the shipper can deal with it and if need be lose the sale.

I don't understand why these LTL companies can't do residential deliveries properly. All the residential deliveries should go on a straight truck. If they don't own a straight truck then they should go on a 28' lift gate trailer with an electric pallet jack so if need be if possible you can just drive the pallet to the house without even having to get the truck in a compromising position.

Or or or and this will never happen, but the gated community the people who work the gate should have a 1 ton pick up truck or cut away box truck:

And you pull up to the gate. The homeowner is called, and signs for the delivery. Then the Gated Community People take the pallet load it in there truck and drive it to the customers house end of story. So many better ways to do things and yet were still doing stuff the same stupid old ways that don't work and never have.

It erks the hell out of me, there's enough tools and technology and equipment to where as far as I'm concerned scenes like what happened above shouldn't have to happen at all ever. Were not utilizing the tools we have properly.

It was like a neighbor a few doors down who complained not the guy I was delivering to.

Yeah my company sucks we only have 48 and 53ft trailer. Once in a blue moon they'll break a double to do a early morning run, but we don't use small trailers or straight trucks.

We have 4 straight trucks and few liftgate trailers. I hate driving straight trucks because they always make me go everywhere.

Peak season didn't even start yet and we are already pulling fully loaded 53' trailers to the Lowes DC in Pittston. I went with 4 today and 3 yesterday. Not a bad ride since one way it takes about 50 minutes to drive then wait for about 10 minutes at the gate to get checked in. The only bad thing is they take forever to unload so most of my returns were bobtailing. The ride is so rough it can knock your tooth feelings out.

FedEx Richfield, Ohio I think maybe has 1 straight truck at least I think they have 1 they might have more, but they for sure have 1. I think he primarily works down town Cleveland, he's always loaded to the gills. I was once down town at the Casino unloading and he pulled up next to me opened up his back door and totally full and this was later in the morning too, pallets loaded floor to ceiling back to front.

Estes has a straight truck too and I see that guy everywhere I've seen him north, south, east and west he's like a nomad.
