I'm pretty much seeing the same things you are so no its not just you... I actually confirmed with my coordinator about the CHI agent having a phone conference with all the coordinators a couple weeks ago. She said it wasnt a phone conference but that the CHI agents flew down to Mercertown and bought all the coordinators lunch and had a meeting with them in person.

They claim to be having a hard time getting loads covered???? I dont know...

I'm out on the road right now with no weekend load and nothing planned for monday. Of course if I wanted to go to Vermont, Florida, or North Dakota I could of had a load...

Are you guys able to go on different load boards and book freight or are you held to what's on your companies board like we are here?

It's industry wide. I'm still getting great van rates on the public boards but I have to be a little picky about where I run. Shippers are holding on to freight or not ordering much till the elections in November. Rates are down some and capacity is as well but there's still a lot of money out there.

Admiral Merchants let's you pull freight from anywhere. You pay them 25% if you pull freight from their agents but you only pay 17% if you find freight yourself on the public boards. Not sure what other companies, if any do this.

The rates are really down. Got offered a OD load 60FT long paying only 2.64 a mile going to MA... Nice to see agents working today though:p
