Show me a regulation that says that, because what I read is pretty cut and dried. He’s compensated by Youtube as a percentage of the ad dollars they get from his videos.
Again, all I said in my initial post that started us down this track is that if he’s calling for people to be fired for talking on the phone he better make sure he does everything 100% by the book. And he doesn’t.

BTW, what about stock trading? I do that and I certainly don't log it as on duty time.

At least you see it as hypocritical, that was the point I was making pages ago. Phone videos are his deal, I get it. My opinion was that it’s a bit extreme saying to call their company and get them fired. I’m sure he would have the same opinion if I came on here and said if you see a driver going slower than the flow of traffic in the center lane you need to call them in for unsafe driving because they’re impeding traffic and forcing people to pass on the right.
But I wouldn’t do that, I don’t need to go around acting like I’m saving the trucking industry.DSK333 Thanks this. -
Actually we've had a discussion about stock trading. It seems it's not on-duty, but that's because of special laws that deal with stock trading. Making videos and getting money from them does not have such protections. -
Suppose I'm messing around with my guitar and come up with a song the someone hears a few months later and wants to buy. Do I then go back several months and edit my logs to show I was on duty when I wrote it? -
