Don’t work there just load and dump at some of the same yards the end dumps are at the 2.00 a loaded mile so tanks should be even higher but I ain’t there to say for sure

I won't lie, I do miss dragging that tank and unloading it, but I don't miss 79k every load and dealing with dispatch.

I made a lot of money over there, but being in a constant rush got old. I was gonna go back to end dump but then I realized I had the same set of tires for the whole year I was on pneumatic and wouldn't be able to handle going back in to scrap yards and loading turning out of Alcoa.

I realized I didn't vibe too well with dispatch on the tank side, and didn't want to tear my truck up hauling end dump b.s, so I said my good byes and left.

Can’t even lie pulling a end dump is hard on tires I’ll go months no issues then I’ll have a string of flats back to back but usually it’s on the trailer not the truck

I'm still hanging in over here. Freight has been kinda slow the last several months but seems to be picking up the last couple of weeks. The snowbird drivers are staying South this time of year so North I go. They increased the loaded pay $0.10 per mile and the CSA bonus is $0.25 per mile loaded and empty with 0 CSA points. And i agree, scrap yards are hell on tires. A lot of them have started to clean up their acts. The last couple of times I was at SDI in Columbus i noticed a truck with a magnet running around picking up shrapnel.

That’s strange you say you guys are slow! I’ve ran quite a few of Oakley loads the last few weeks

I'm not sure if Oakley is slow but the drivers have been sitting around waiting to get loads after we empty out. From last October until the first part of July I almost never dumped without having my next load. I guess it depends on where you are and how many other trucks need loads in that area...
