Yeah I forgot about them. Estrada was telling us funny stories about those. The DC police commissioner was worried we would have outside carriers running our trailers. According to Doug those have to be Walmart Drivees hence the exception runs.

If you are more interested in making money, you can stay on the extra board. You'll still work the same days each week. It's not to be confused with other places where being on the extra board means you may or may not have work each week. It just means you won't have the same truck each week. You still might have one assigned to you all week though

In Spring Valley, when I came off the extra board to go on a 5-2/5-3, I took a big pay cut. When I transferred to a DC closer to home, I held out for an assigned truck on a 5-2 week. Took a while, but now I can extend whenever I want and not have to worry about getting the truck back for someone else to get into it.
Doing that, I gross right around $4k per check.

This is not true! at 6092 Spring Valley we have 7 15:00 starts. this is because there is a Chicago store that you have to deliver at night.

How was the slip seating up there in Sutherland? I'm a very clean person and that was my only real hang up. I know I'll have to clean it some every time because that's just me, but I'm worried about getting in a truck that had some slob in it leaving it filthy.

Are you considering driving for Walmart.? The numbers they gave you may not be inflated..And I'll tell you why. Walmart maximizes the ELD. you will have your 10 hour break and be back at work. you'll have a 34 hour break and be back at work... looking for Regular time off. not at Walmart, You can earn your vacation time I think it about a year.Look into the schedule that they give to their drivers before leaving your current job. Good luck

What are you basing your comments on 10 hour breaks and 34's. And we do have regular schedules.

This year they have even made extensions voluntary and offer a bonus for extending.

I may have misunderstood Walmart when I applied two years ago.I turned it down didn't seem like I would have any time for myself working for them.I'm sure a lot has changed from two years ago.I may have exaggerated but not by much....
