2-3 day parking in Des Moines?

    Hello all. Does anyone know where to park up, 2 to 3 nights, every fourteen days in Des Moines, Iowa? Any fellas have a yard they chip in together to pay for or anything? Ideally it would be somewhere secure where I could leave my car while on the road. Can you park your rig at a Loves or TA for 2-3 days? Would rather not do that obviously if possible. I don't think a Walgreens or Target would work for that long either. I live in a neighborhood where it wouldn't be feasible to park rig and trailer. MAYBE could park bobtail near home, but just a maybe. Anybodies ideas or thoughts, much appreciated!

    You’ll usually get good results by approaching business owners and offering to pay - or at least asking if it would be OK.

    I’ve found most folks are very accommodating if asked - but irritated if you simply park and assume.

    That’s the ticket. I have done this in city centre in Toronto. Just had my tractor but gas station owner happily accepted some cash for parking

    So it's bad enough guys are plugging up free spots at truckstops on their home time and now they're probably going to start plugging up the reserved parking too? What a bunch of BS.
